In 1990, Wasfi Taher graduated in business administration from the Arab University of Beirut. Then he headed to Switzerland, attracted by its long watchmaking tradition. Determined to succeed, he quickly established relationships with several Swiss watch manufacturers and positioned himself as a retailer.
In the mid-1990s, he created his own company, Riba Watch, headquartered in Le Locle, in the heart of the watch industry. Today, Riba Watch has far exceeded Mr. TAHER’s expectations. Riba Watch has 8 different brands (Marc Enzo Paris, Mercury, Murex, Optima, RSW, Rama, Geovani and Faros), each successful and all brands integrated in a particular market.
Ortilla Skeleton Aytomatic. A glance at some of the brand’s pieces reveals that their construction has been carefully thought out. Ranging from metals, pearls to precious stones, Optima knows how to perfectly combine multiple materials in layers to create a minimal relief effect on the dials of most of its watches.
